Incorporate a panning shot to convey a sense of high-speed motion, keeping a commercial passenger jet during takeoff tack-sharp while the runway and background blur into dynamic streaks.
The Speed Injector
An elegant camera technique that tracks a moving subject, rendering it perfectly sharp while blurring the background into linear speed lines. It instantly injects a sense of velocity, energy, and high-end commercial dynamism into transportation shots. Perfect for takeoffs, fly-bys, or action sequences where static framing feels sterile.
Application Tips
- Best paired with shallow depth-of-field settings and side-profile angles.
- Avoid using it on subjects moving directly toward or away from the lens, as the panning motion relies on lateral movement to create those sweeping, premium speed streaks.
