A bright optical artifact caused by light scattering internally within a camera lens, producing striking glowing halos, starbursts, and ghost reflections.
🧠 Captured glare
Lens flare transforms light from a passive illuminator into a physical, intervening subject. Whether rendered as sharp geometric polygons or soft washing halos, flares degrade contrast slightly while injecting profound cinematic scale, warmth, and atmospheric imperfection.
Where to apply: Sci-fi cinematic scenes, golden-hour portraits, automotive glamor shots, and anytime a light source needs blinding, uncontained power.
Full prompt
striking lens flare washing across a sleek matte-black motorcycle parked on a wet tarmac. A harsh, low-angle setting sun shoots directly into the glass, generating a brilliant starburst and a diagonal chain of bright hexagonal optical ghosts. Split-toned teal shadows, warm atmospheric haze, cinematic framing. --ar 21:9 --style raw
