Create instant tension by placing the critical point of contact—where the objects almost defy gravity—off-center. This forces the viewer's eye to linger on the threat of the fall.

• Isolate the subject: Use a clean background with plenty of negative space (the empty area around your subject) so nothing distracts from the precarious lean.
• Use directional light: Harsh side-lighting casts long shadows, emphasizing the tiny point of contact keeping the whole structure upright.
