Temporary art is work made to vanish — chalk, sand, ice, or petals arranged knowing rain, tide, or melt will erase it, so you often see it mid-disappearance.
Show the clock running. The phrase alone often renders as a finished, permanent piece. Name the force that erases it (melt, rain, tide, wind) or ask for a half-gone state, and the impermanence becomes readable.
Name the medium too. Chalk, ice, petals, and frost each disappear differently, so pick one rather than leaving the model to guess.
Not the same as land art. Land art (large works shaped into the landscape) can last for decades; temporary art is defined by its short life, not its location.
