An ancient decorative technique featuring intricate metal wires forming cells filled with vibrant, glassy, colored enamel paste.
Cloisonné enamel fuses the strength of metal with the brilliant, glossy color of glass. Thin metal wires (usually gold or copper) are soldered onto a surface to map out intricate cells, which are then filled with colored enamel paste and fired to a smooth, glassy finish.
cloisonné enamel details on a decorative imperial egg. Intricate gold wire filigree forms delicate floral patterns, enclosing glossy, deeply saturated sapphire blue and ruby red enamel cells. The polished, glassy surface reflects sharp studio lights with microscopic precision. Macro shot, exquisite craftsmanship. --ar 1:1
