Opalescent smart glass is an electrochromic material that shifts from clear to a milky, pearlescent haze, scattering light in a soft, rainbow-like shimmer.
Electrochromic glow: To capture the tech-luxe feel, prompt a transition state where the glass is partially active, scattering backlights into soft peach, mint, and lavender hues.
Backlighting is key: Position a clean, soft light source directly behind the glass. This forces the micro-dispersed liquid crystals to refract light, making the subtle rainbow interference patterns highly visible.
