Using Cel Shading in Prompts

Cel shading thrives on bold, simple forms — bicycles, teapots, robots. Overly intricate surfaces (lace, fur) break the illusion because the technique relies on large flat color regions; the detail collapses into visual noise.

Avoid on glossy or refractive objects — cel shading flattens specular highlights into chunky graphic shapes, which reads as plastic, not glass. If you need translucency, pair it with a secondary pass or post-process, but the raw output will fight you.
