Serial art is art made as a set, not one piece — the same shape repeated with small changes, so you see one idea carried across a whole run of panels.
Not the same as an edition. An edition is a numbered run of identical prints; serial art changes one thing from panel to panel — colour, crop, scale. If nothing changes, you have a pattern (a repeating tile), not a series.
Change one variable at a time. Pick a single trait — hue, angle, size — and step it evenly; hold everything else steady so the viewer reads the set as one idea. Keep the panels on an even grid (a regular row-and-column layout) with matching gaps.
