roughout suede
Subject
Roughout suede is a coarse, full-grain leather turned inside out, revealing a heavily textured, fibrous nap that absorbs light with zero shine.
Rendering Roughout Suede
Roughout turns full-grain leather inside-out, creating a coarse, fibrous nap that is far chunkier than brushed suede.
- Use raking light: Position light at a sharp side angle to catch individual raised fibers and cast realistic micro-shadows.
- Avoid front flash: Flat, direct lighting washes out texture and makes the material look like flat cardboard.
