International Typographic Style
International Typographic Style — a 1950s Swiss design method that uses clean sans-serif type, asymmetric grids, and photomontage to present information with clarity and objectivity.
Spot it in three seconds: Look for a strict grid, a single bold sans-serif typeface (like Helvetica or Akzidenz Grotesk), and a photograph cut into geometric shapes. Palette is almost always a limited set — red, black, white, sometimes blue.
Why it works for AI: The style's rigid geometry gives the model a clear scaffold, so even a short prompt produces a structured layout. Avoid adding decorative fonts or gradients — they break the Swiss school's clean, objective voice.
